The FIM MotoGP™ World Championship is now a sustainable event.
18th November 2022 - Dorna Sports achieved the ISO 20121 international certification with the support of Right Hub, reaching the important milestone with the implementation of a sustainable management system of the FIM MotoGP™ World Championship.
We are very proud, as a specialized advisor in sustainability projects in the motorsport and automotive sector, to have co-operated with Dorna Sports in the design and implementation of the sustainable management system in accordance with the international standard ISO 20121 as organizer of the FIM MotoGP™ World Championship, the leading motorcycle championship in the world.
Together with Dorna Sports we have started working on the first assessments of the organizational context and events at the end of 2021 in order to build and implement a new sustainable event management system for the FIM MotoGP™ World Championship, which includes an action plan to minimize the environmental impact and maximize the social impact, actively engaging all the interested stakeholders like circuits, constructors, teams, suppliers, sponsors, partners, federations, fans and local communities.
We would also remind that the co-operation with Dorna Sports and F.I.M. began in 2014 when Right Hub started to manage the initiatives of the well-known K.i.S.S. (Keep it Shiny and Sustainable) program during the events of the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello Circuit and the Grand Prix of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.
